CROP 2005 Summer Workshop July 18-22, 2005 The goals of this workshop • Review (veterans) or introduce (newcomers) • CROP, the physics of cosmic rays and cosmic • ray detectors • Check out the health of the detectors and • equipment that teams brought • Gain hands-on experience working with the • detectors, data acquisition electronics card, • LabView software on PC that allows you to • take data • Make weatherproof enclosures for detectors • on school roof • Make plans for a Autumn 2005 experiment • with as many schools as possible taking data • simultaneously and uploading their data • files to a server at UNL for analysis
