The History of Pullman Park. Built in 1934The Butler Athletic Club, using a volunteer work force, began building on land donated by the Standard Steel Car Company. Nearing completion, money was needed to build the bleachers, when $500 was donated by the Cleveland Indians General Manager Billy Evans to finish the project.The first minor league team was the Cleveland Indians in 1935Minor league team for the New York Yankees for 10 years starting in 1936 (called the Butler Yankees).
