  1. The Truth about Sin Sin is a negative subject. However, it was sin that occasioned the coming of the sinless Son of God (Rom. 5: 6-8). All have sinned; hence, sin is a timely study (Rom. 3: 23).

  2. The Truth about Sin • Sin is failing to comply with God’s law (I Jn. 3: 4) There is going beyond God’s teaching (2 Jn. 9). There is failing to do what is taught (Jas. 4: 17). Hence, one can sin either by commission, omission, or both.

  4. The Truth about Sin • Teaching about speech(Eph. 4: 29); contending for the faith(Jude 3); walking wisely(Eph. 5: 15); redeeming the time(Eph. 5: 16); pure mind(Phili. 4: 8); and prayer(Phili. 4: 6).
