  3. Numbers • For numbers less than ten, spell out • I have 3 brothers. • I have three brothers. • For numbers greater than ten, you can use numerals. • There were 180 students at the meeting.

  4. Verb tense • Past, present, and future: • I ran (past) • I run / I am running (present) • I will run (future) • Don’t mix them accidentally • When my mom found out I snuck out of the house, she says, “You are grounded for a month!”

  5. Especially funky verb tenses • The Conditional • Would have • If we had completed the task, then we would have won a prize.

  6. Other notes: • My family appreciate’s their celebratory dinner. • To: for verb infinitives, or direction • I am going to the store • We are going to run that race. • Too: also, very • We are too cool for school. • We want to go, too!
