A Brief Teaching Plan for Checkout of Films in Unit5,9A Produced by Cai Bin Ⅰ.Type: A revision lesson Ⅱ.Teaching objectives: 1.Language aims: To review useful phrases and expressions about films and film stars in this unit. To go over Past Perfect Tense as well as ways to give advice. 2.Ability aims: To improve complexed skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing while talking about Hepburn and their own favourite film stars.
3.Feeling aims: To learn to share different opinions with others and learn something useful from those who are successful in different areas. Ⅲ.Study strategies: To communicate with others cooperatively and get information by different means. Ⅳ.Teaching methods: Task-based method, Ss-centered method, Communicative method.
Ⅴ.Teaching procedure: Step1:Lead-in —Watch pictures of different films. Step2: Revision 1—Talk about types of films as well as each other’s favourite type of film. Step3: Revision 2 -- Review the main character Audrey Hephurn. Step4: Revision 3 & Consolidation 1 -- Review the Past Perfect Tense as well as completing the passage in the book.
Step5: Revision 4--Review ways to give advice. Step6:Consolidation 2 --Complete the sentencesin the book. Step7: Production--Talk about film stars and try to have an experience of being a film star. Step8: Consolidation 3—Sum up what can be learned from film stars especially Audrey Hephurn.
