  2. W E L C O M E to Pelinia one of the largest villages in Northern Moldova.

  3. Pelinia village Pelinia is located in the Northern part of Moldova and it borders 8 villages: Sîngureni, Cepăria, Corlăteni Grinăuţi, Nicoreni, Michurin, Sofia and Hăsnăşeni. The village is located at a distance of 1.5 km from the bank of Răut river. The village area is of 1330 ha out of 8322 ha that represent the whole northern territory. The population of the village is over 8650 inhabitants, most of which are Moldavians.

  5. “Consult-North” NGO It was registered on May 12th , 2005. Ithas implemented more than 20 projects in the Community (valuing more than 2 million MDL).

  6. The Village Museum The Public Library In this building the NGO "Consult-North", the Community Center for access to information and Training (CCAII), the Cinema Club, the Economic Planning Center, the Foreign Language Study Center activate.

The first projects: The access to information and training centre (6 performing computers, youth training, Internet services), with the support of the Local Public Administration and the Soros Foundation ($ 6,000) The public Library Over 1,500 Romanian books perchased, the building renovation with the support of Local Public Administration , the Association of parents and Teachers from middle school and high school, the Peace Corps, Darien Book Aid, Great Britain and the USA Embassies, Renee Riegler and Kelli McGee (US citizens) ($ 4,100) The Cinema Club We offer wathing movies every weekend with the support of Craig Reigler's family (Peace Corps volunteer), the Caddick construction and AraMark Agencies from the USA ($ 5,600)

  8. The project: “Promoting Computer usage culture by the Community Centre for access to information and Training from Pelinia village”. The project's value - $3,000 . Funded by the Soros Foundation-Moldova.

  9. The project “Computers for Local Public Administration". 20 training sessions, 2 computers and 1 printer purchased with the support of the US Aqua America Agency, the Local Public Administration and Mr. Constantin Bândiu, Director of "CONSULT-NORTH" NGO ($ 1,450).

  10. Installation of the equipment at the Local Public Administration Hall.

  12. Social-Economic Infrastructure: Middle School - 480 students

  13. The project “Water for Students” New well with a pump and water pipe for the school with the support of the Teachers and Parents' Association from middle school and Washington Rotary Club ($ 1,200)

  14. High school -733 students

  15. The project: " Thermal Energy Conservation in Pelinia High School" 95 windows and 2 doors from PVC have been installed.

  16. The project was implemented with the support of USAID Project value - over 400,000 MDL

  17. The project:"Construction of heating system in the public library from Pelinia village".

  18. The project was submitted and implemented by "Consult-North" NGO with the support of Switzerland Foundation "HEKS" and Local Public Administration from Pelinia village. The project value – over 5000 Euro
