Supportive Climate • Model respect and kindness. Be courteous • Let children know they are wanted in you’re classroom • Show a genuine concern for their well being • Greet them warmly when they enter the room • Talk calmly. Be assertive but not aggressive –when necessary • Teach conflict resolution
Set the tone at the beginning of each period Make sure student know procedures for everything Frequently remind students of rules and expectations Be consistent in all that you do Have clear objectives\ expectations Prepare students for dismissal Business-like Climate
