Problem • How does height and weight effect lung capacity?
Hypothesis • I predict….that larger people will have more lung capacity.
Materials • Stop watch • 6 male 7th graders • 6 female 7th grade • Paper • Pencil • Computer • Power point • Microsoft excel
Procedure • I had the participant’s hold their breath as long as possible. • Since the height and weight could effect lung capacity I had them write them down. • I also had them write down what sports they have played during the school year, since their physical activities could effect their breathing.

Conclusion • The result was very surprising to me. There was no significant pattern.
