  2. How Much is There? • Approximately three-fourths of the earth is water.

  3. What kinds are there? • 97% of the water is salt water, and is found in the oceans of the world. 3% is fresh water. 2% is frozen which leaves less than 1% for drinking water.

  6. Let’s discuss the vocabulary Condensation – when warm air collides with cold air and droplets form. Precipitation – droplets that after being condensed begin to fall to the earth in the form of rain, sleet, hail, glaze, or snow. Erosion – the movement of soil by wind or water. Melting – when a solid changes into a liquid. Transpiration – the movement of water directly from a tree or plant into the air as vapor. Evaporation – The process of liquid water becoming vapor.
