One such sustainable innovation that has long since been in existence but has presently picked up the pace is eco- friendly commuting and transportation. With the shift in the transformation from fueled vehicles in the automotive industry, the manufacture of electrically powered vehicles is the „new now‟. He moved to Dubai, UAE in the year 2021 and was pumped up to launch and start his new green project - Eco Way in the year 2023. Ivan’s aim and mission in life were - “to improve the quality of people‟s lives”. Therefore he trusted his beliefs and ideated on his aim by creating and launching a sustainable innovation - the 1st longest-range electrically powered bikes for transport in delivery services, which incorporated a swappable battery technology system that supersedes the conventional plugging, charging, and waiting method. Realizing the immense pollution contributed to the deteriorating air quality in Dubai by fueled vehicular transportation, Ivan wanted to change this for the better. Thus Eco Way was founded but is still in its pilot stages as the infrastructure and logistics are currently being developed. About ECO WAY: Ivan Kroshnyi founded Eco Wayin the year 2023. The company’s headquarters is established and located in Dubai, in the UAE. The e-bikes at Eco Way are powered by CATL batteries (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited). A swappable battery technology system was chosen and adopted rather than the conventional charging methods as these electrically powered bikes were manufactured and built, especially for food and parcel delivery rides. Eco Way’s Main Objective is to provide green transportation services for food delivery and small parcels, utilizing renewable energy sources and a rapid battery replacement system. The company offers 3 types of e-bikes - the H-9 City (range from 200-380kms), H-9 Sport (range from 150-280kms), and H-9 Pro (range from 130-240kms). The bikes are also provided for rent and lease purposes with additional services such as free parts, servicing, and maintenance given during the contract period for the rider by the company. Food and small parcel deliveries had to be timely, and Ivan brought about Eco Way to be sustainable and help the environment as well as to cut down on the time spent in charging e- bikes. The Eco Way e-bikes are also equipped with not just one battery but two of them, and a real-time GPS tracker. Therefore being able to swap fully charged batteries at any one of the 13 charging stations across Dubai in under a minute, would save on costs and time spent. This way the environment as well as customer service is always at an optimum high with sustainable electric bikes. Some of Eco Way’s strategic partners are - KFC, Americana, Hardee’s, Pizza Hut, Talabat, Amazon, Deliveroo, Uplift, Zone, Emirates Post Group, and more. Presently testing 45 e-bikes, the company is on its journey to launching a B2B 2- wheeler rental startup in UAE. In the next 2 years, Eco Way is soon to introduce around 90,000 e-bikes, over 180,000 batteries, and installed 8,182 swappable battery charging stations!
