Recording System Artifacts • Total for UMD ugrd/grds = 56 • Total for transfer students = 39 • No artifact can serve “double duty” • Vary type and disorder of artifact • Web site will define each artifact, list options, and provide some examples • Email will be sent to you as soon as site is completed, in the meantime please refer to your handout
“Rules” of Artifacts Use • An artifact cannot serve “double duty” • Vary the types of elective artifacts used - Show an array of skills • Vary the disorder area so that between your required and elective artifacts you have all 9 included at every level (whenever possible) - Show a breadth of knowledge
Phase-In Plan • Sophomores • Complete as much as you can from Level 1. • Don’t share it with anyone until end of Junior year when it is complete. • Juniors • Complete Level 1 this term. • Share as specified. • Seniors • Complete Personal Information section from Level 1. • Skip the rest of level 1. • Complete level 2 this term. • Share as specified. • First years • Complete Transfer level this term. • Upload Plan B proposal and video clip this term. • Do NOT share w/ DGS and clinic director. Rather, share with Plan B advisor & assigned* clinical supervisor. • Complete Level 3 this summer & share as directed.
This means by Fall semester we’ll all be on track with our Portfolio development! From then on just continue as the levels explain! Like everything else, the levels are subject to change. However, changes will never affect your current level The current, official version of the levels will always be available at the web site.
