  5. Holiday Traditions Wesak Wesak is celbrated in Sri Lanka by Budduist in May. It marks Lord Buddhu birthday, enlightenment and death. We celebrate Wesak with kindness, color and cheer. We visit temple for services and teaching and give offering to monks of food, candles and flowers. In Sri Lanka people make specillantems also they make large pandles that are nicely decrated by color full lights.
