  2. What is Area? The amount of space inside the boundary of a flat (2-dimensional) object such as a triangle or circle.

  3. How is it used in real world situation? Area is of course used for school and jobs. the way how you use it for jobs is you can measure how many square feet are in your yard or if you are a construction worker and you are trying to make a road you can measure the length and width of the concrete.

  4. Now I will teach you about Area!!! YAY!!!:) As you can see the image below, the length of the shape is 10 inches the length is the top of a figure, the side of the figure is called the width it is 2 inches and as you can see there are to length and two widths you can addit but that is perimeter and to make it faster you use area and you just multiply 10 times 2 ( image on next page)

  6. DETAILS!!! DETAiLS!!!!!! Area is length times width what that means is one side of the figure times the opposite side of the figure, for example if you have a rectangle that would be a parelellagrahm that means there would be two sides differ and two sides the same,so there will be different lengths and you would multiply them.

  9. continuing word problems!!! 3, Jake is making a dog house for his dog max the length of the pen is 7 meters and the width of the pen is 5 meters what is the area of the pen? 4,a large city park has a rectangular lawn that is 18 meters long and 12 meters wide what is the area of the lawn?

  10. Last problem!!!:) 5, A rectangular swimming pools measures 12 meters long and 15 meters wide, What is the area of the swimming pool?
