Challenges • The group has ‘evolved’ over many years • Has identity but no formal structure • TfL and others wish to work with GM but difficult in absence of structure • Potential to tap into significant funding streams currently not utilised • Opportunity for businesses to tap into ‘economies’ by consolidating resources

  3. Review of Opportunities • Successful bid to TfL • Seed-funding to determine an appropriate structure for Golden Mile Transport Group • Due to start mid-May 2013

  4. Phase 1 • Desktop review of options • Present recommended option(s) including business case • Consult GMTG on options for structure

  5. Phase 2 • Clearly defined, agreed structure for GMTG • Engage and consult with wider business community • Formalise membership, governance, etc

  6. Phase 3 • Once GMTG is a form of legal entity TfL has committed to provide £30k of funding • GMTG administration to identify activities or initiatives to benefit members to spend by end of financial year 2013-14 • Provides access to new TfL funding in summer • Opportunities to access other demonstration and research funding, egDfT, EU, TfL
