  2. Graphing Simple Rational Functions 1.) Draw 2 asymptotes: 1st: set denom. equal to zero & solve: x = h 2nd: y = k 2.) Plot points to left and right of asymptotes using a table of values. 3.) If a is positive: hyperbola in 1st & 3rd section If a is negative: hyperbola in 2nd & 4th section
