  6. Treaty of Versailles: Agreement created by the Allies (the winning countries) that said… • Germany is the ONLY country responsible for the war • Germany had to pay for all of the damage done during the war to all countries • Germany lost resources, people, and possession of lands

  7. Germany’s thoughts? Germany did not really have a choice. The Allied Forces threatened to invade Germany if the German leaders did not agree to the treaty.
