GLACIER Instructions- UserID and Password Creation • Email foreign national name and email address to DL-BF NRA Help • An email from “Support@online-tax.net” will be sent to the individual with subject line “Payments from University of Maryland, Baltimore” • Individual creates UserID and password according to the instruction
GLACIER Instructions- Items needed to create a Glacier Record • Immigration Status • DS-2019 for J Status • I-20 for F Status • SSN or ITIN • US Entry and Exit dates • Academic Institution/Host Sponsor Information
GLACIER Instructions- Incomplete Information • Maximum taxes withheld until Glacier record is completed • UMB cannot refund taxes withheld • HR- Service Center cannot process foreign national paperwork without a complete package
GLACIER Instructions- Tax Status Determination • Glacier will determine tax residency status and tax treaty eligibility once the individual’s record is completed • Foreign national employee will print out the Tax Summary Report and other forms from GLACIER
GLACIER instructions- Forms Required • All signed forms and required documents (see Required Forms and Documents from Payroll website http://www.fincsvc.umaryland.edu/payroll/forms.cfm must be submitted to the department within 5 days • New Hires and existing employees with status or expiration date changes – 3 sets (1 set of original + 2 sets of copies) to HR-Service Center • Existing employees (renewal process) – 3 sets (1 set of original + 2 sets of copies) to FS-Payroll

T&L Rules Change has been made to T&L rules used in Time Admin process Rule to match EXEMPT employees reported time with scheduled hours per job data is eliminated
T&L Rules What does this mean to Dept users? No longer have to check for Exceptions so menu options will be removed (Manage Exceptions and Manage Group Exceptions) Depts have option to enter actual time reported on timesheets for Exempt employees and it will not affect the amount paid or leave accrued
