Timeline • 1195-Arrived in the Valley of Mexico • 1325-Tenochtitlan founded and first temple built • 1479-Sun Stone created • 1487-Expanded southward throughout Mexico • 1519-Cortes shows up, Moctezuma II killed • 1521-Tenochtitlan destroyed • 1522-Tenochtitlan rebuilt and named Mexico City, capitol of New Spain
