  2. Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) Our Competitive Events are divided into five divisions: Finance Business Administration Management Information Systems Digital Communication and Design Management/Marketing/Communication

Torch Awards Program Represents the Seven Torches – Friendship, Cooperation, Love, Hope and Faith, Patriotism, Leadership, Service, and Knowledge Promotes member participation in community involvement, adaptability and action, inside and outside, of BPA Four Participation Levels– Diplomat, Executive, Statesman, Ambassador

  4. BPA Cares Program Service Learning Awards * Special Olympics and Community Relief Special Recognition Awards * Chapter Award of Excellence and Member Recruitment Professional Awards * Emerging Advisor Award Individual Recognition Awards * Merit Scholar Program

  5. Special Olympics Project Special Olympics is BPA’s national service project. Member participation projects are planned at the state and national level

Managing Your Chapter Create a calendar of meetings and activities for chapter members Elect chapter officers Create a plan for archiving meeting agendas and minutes Plan an operating budget Create membership recruitment activities Offer multiple programs of activities for your membership Plan fundraising activities that align with your budget projections

Fall Leadership Conferences Provides the opportunity for officers and members to: Develop leadership skills and plan a productive program of work for their local chapters Participate in team building activities Attend workshops that benefit personal development Network with other members and business represented guest speakers

  9. Scholarship Opportunities $16,000 in scholarship funds are offered at the State level: 1- $2500-Mildred Woerndel Scholarship 1- $2000-Vickie Thomas Scholarship 3- $1000 Scholarships 2- $750 Scholarships 9 - $500 Scholarships

Association Leadership Levels Chapter/Local Officers – Elected at the local level and serving their chapter members Regional Presidents – Elected at the Regional level, serving the Regional membership State Officers – Elected at the State Leadership Conference by chapter delegates, serving the entire Texas membership National Officers – Elected at the National Leadership Conference by state delegates and serving all members
