1920 • Jazz began booming by the 1920s. • This time period became known as “the roaring twenties”, due to the fact that a lot of political change, fashion statements, and sounds were being produced. • An amazing Trumpeter erupted out of this time frame. A man named Louis Armstrong revolutionized music with his trumpet.
1930 • Blues Flourished in the 1930s. • A search was needed to find young talented musicians who could voice the struggles of the depression. • Technology increased the spreading of music like never before in this decade. • The Blues exposed classic musicians like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Charlie Patton, and Robert Johnson.
1940 • The influence of radio helped promote the Music of the 1940s. • Swing music reigned supreme until the late 1940s. • Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, two unique pop stars paved the way for many future vocalists.
1950 • The 1950s introduced Rock N Roll to the big screen. • Popular acts included Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, and Les Paul. • The guitar was heavily influenced into this genre of music. • Many fashion statements happened taking reference points to certain Musicians.
1960s • The Beatles broke the mainstream in this era, along with Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Etc. • This was one of the pivotal moments in music where the tides began to change. • A new wave of musical culture immersed this population. • Woodstock, a 1969 concert, was held for 3 days in sunny USA.

1980s • The 1980s consisted of famous celebrities like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai (amazing guitarists, by the way), and many more • Alternative Rock began to take birth in this era.
1990s • The 1990s showed a change of pace from the old generations to the new sounds of Grunge, punk rock, Metal, Rap, and Hip Hop. • Famous icons of this age were Biggy Smalls, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Etc. • These artists started a rip jeaned, saggy pants style, varying from rap groups to grunge bands.
2000s • This change in Millennia marked a new wave of musical angst in the world. • New sounds originated from groups like The Strokes, Coldplay, Muse, Kanye West, Eminem, you name it. • The threshold for music is constantly being pushed. • New artists are showing themselves in new ways but with the same fire and intensity as their past participles. • The overall message is that no matter where you look, you will always see a culture affected by Music in some way
