Holocaust: Tragedy of Genocide and Persecution

The Holocaust, orchestrated by the Nazi party, targeted millions of individuals based on race, religion, and beliefs. The brutal genocide included the creation of work camps, censorship, and propaganda to promote racial superiority. Persecuted groups, such as Jews, Gypsies, Communists, and others, faced imprisonment, forced labor, and extermination in death camps. IDs •Redwas for Communists, Social Democrats, anarchists, and other "enemies of the state"; •Greenwas for German criminals; •Bluewas for foreign forced laborers; •Brownwas for Gypsies (Roma); •Pinkwas for homosexuals; •Purple was for Jehovah's Witnesses •Blackwas for homeless, prostitutes, alcoholics, etc. who were living on the streets, (Anyone who didn't have a permanent address)

  5. Nazi Party Censors Germany • 1933 Nazi’s control all outlets of media • Papers, radio, propaganda, etc. • Books are burned • All non-nazi sponsored • Laws are created to ensure a pure German race • Propaganda Rises

Old • 2/3rds of total European Jewish Population • Soviet POW's • 3.3 million • Non-Jewish Poles • 1.8-2 million • Gypsies • 220,000- 270,000 • Disabled • 200,000 - 250,000 • Homosexuals • 5,000 - 15,000 • Jehovahs Witnesses • 2,500 - 5,000 • TOTAL • Roughly 11 million!!!
