1. Where on earth……

2. It was a sunny day in July at the Gettysburg Detectives Agency training center for recruits .
3. “I hope I can get requested for a case with you,” said Carry to Sam. “I have been in this program longer then you and my team and I have never been on a case,” said Sam. Sam Carry ii
4. Beep! Beep! Beep! went Sam’s pager. “It’s the head master, he wants us to try and do a test to see if we are good enough to try and catch Carmen San Diego!” Sam exclaimed.
5. “Who is she?” asked Carry. “She is the most wanted criminal in the world. She travels the world leaving clues that are hard to decode. We have been trying to catch her for over a century.”
6. “Wow she must be good to get past our agency!” exclaimed Carry. “Oh she is better than good. She travels the world so she won’t get caught. The head master said to go to Croppers Shur Fine Gold Super Market at 1257 Horse Shoe Pike in Downingtown PA 19335.”
7. “Why’s that?” “He says we need to buy the popcorn bag with a card inside.” Sam explained that there was a competition going on to see who could find the rare collectible card set. Everyone was trying to find them and even friends couldn’t be trusted.
8. “Look, it has a code on the back,” said Carry. “You are right, and there is a penny taped to the back,” Sam replied.
9. “How do we know which bag that is?”asked Carry curiously. “He also said we have to go to the line with the cashier named Lindsey F.,” said Sam. “What card is it?” “A king I believe.” Carry and Sam drove to the store and are now outside opening the bag of popcorn. They discover Carmen’s crew’s crest on the back of the card.
10. “The code says: take the penny, act like Marie Currie, and take a stick of Wrigley’s mint gum and cover the penny to reveal the next code piece,” said Sam. “Who is Marie Currie?”asked Carry. Take a stick of Gum and cover the peny.
11. “Let me page in and find out,” Sam said. “He says she was one of the most famous woman scientists ever. So I guess we need to act like scientists to pass the test.”
12. “Well ,where is a stick of gum?” asked Carry. The two detectives head back into the super market to buy some gum. They wrapped the gum around the penny. Then they took the gum off. The gum got stuck in the cracks and revealed another code. Wrigley's
13. This is what the code said: take a trip to River Island and bring a band-aid, and a glove. My friend Sally will meet you in my car with the license plate #2389csd.
14. Carry and Sam rode the bus to River Island. Unfortunately, there were two cars with license plates #2389csd.
15. One car started to pull away. They decided to follow it. Sam noticed the other car moving – Carry saw someone in the car with a big hat on, just like Carmen’s. “Follow the other car!” screamed Carry.
16. The car led them right to Carmen’s headquarters. They paged the boss to let him know that they had found Carmen. The boss said he would send a prison truck to pick her up .
17. In the end, the boss explained that he knew they worked best when they thought it was a test. So he made them think it was a test so they would do well and successfully catch Carmen.
