  3. 1706-Benjamin Franklin is born. • 1718-William Penn dies. • 1732-George Washington is born. • 1776-The Declaration of Independence is signed in Philadelphia.

  4. William Penn had strong beliefs. • He spent his life fighting for what he believed in. • He fought so that others could have fair trials and religious freedom. • His dream brought liberty to millions of Americans.
