  1. Pumice is also known as "The floating rock" because of its light weight and agility in the water. It can be found around volcano's that are active with ash. What is Pumice?

  2. Why does Pumice float? Pumice floats because of the air built up inside of it. The air is light weight and is light enough to float on water.

  3. Where is Pumice found? Pumice is formed by cooling ash. It is usually found near active volcanic areas or even in the sea where it has drifted from far away.
