    4. Molly’s last name was probably not her real name but used as a nick name because she carried water in a pitcher. Molly was more than likely a woman who was very brave and cared much for her husband.

    5. But What About Molly… All Children like stories and this story is one of love and care.

    6. Who Is Molly Pitcher? Molly Pitcher brought water to her husband during a battle Her husband was in the artillery The artillery is always warm and hot Artillery men sweat a great deal Artillery men are frequently thirsty

    7. When her husband was hit, Molly manned the artillery in his place There is no record of anyone with the last name of Pitcher.
