Making Connections: The Cry and the Call of the Blood • Abel’s blood cries from the earth, even today (# 10) • God responds to this cry and enters into history to liberate and free God’s people (Exodus 3, 7-8) • Jesus and the shedding of his precious blood is God’s ultimate response (# 25) • Could this not be a way of focusing our identity and discovering our mission, a way which crosses over the boundaries of culture and language?

  6. Lessons learned from my experience • Contemplation in Action • The spirituality of the blood IS a spirituality of mission (willingness to be led!) • Kenosis and living in vulnerability • Constant call to conversion • The importance of the Eucharist • The need of witnesses

My Conclusion “It is through living our mission in and through the spirituality of the blood of Christ that we will make our specific contribution to the construction of a new world order, that New Jerusalem, more human and more just and one that reflects more faithfully God’s dream for humankind as revealed in Jesus and made possible through the Blood of the Lamb.”
