The Rice Vinskus Scholarship 1st Annual Golf Tournament Friday, May 1, 2009 Southern Oaks Golf Course Easley, SC The vision of The Rice Vinskus Scholarship provides financial assistance to children of breast cancer parents. Therefore, enabling them to pursue a higher education, and encouraging them to become caring, committed citizens eager to help make a difference by giving back to others.

  2. TournamentSchedule • 11:00-12:30 a.m. Registration/Putting Contest • Range balls provided • 1:00 p.m. Shotgun Start • Welcome/lunch on golf cart • 5:30 p.m. Awards Reception • Dinner • Awards Ceremony/Door prizes

  3. Prizes & Awards • Awards will be given for 1st & 2nd place gross and net teams. (Gross team winners cannot place in net competition.) • Prizes will be given for longest drive, closest to the pin, etc. • There will be a hole-in-one Sea-Doo prize at the par 3, 11th hole provided by Foothills Motorsports. • Lunch will be provided and dinner is included in the day's activities.

  4. Tournament Goals To introduce friends to The Rice Vinskus Scholarship Organization and inform them of our commitment to helping students whose parents are or have been affected by breast cancer.

  6. Tournament Format • Captain’s Choice • Play is from the Blue Tees • Ladies may use Red Tees • Each team must use one drive from each player • Scores are adjusted by Handicaps • “Fifth drive on #5” – Las Vegas World Long Drive Contestant, Daniel Eskew, will hit 5th drive for your team. • Each player will receive two Red Tee Shots - one per side. • Red tees cannot be used for long drive and closest to the pin holes. • Ladies (red tee shots) will be on holes #7 & #18.

  7. Special Advertising You may purchase a sign to advertise your company on the course. Cost for each sign is $100 or two for $150.
