P/J Math Problem Solving:Patterning and Geometry Context--Analysis • Pattern Block Families Group Activity Analysis • Two principal activities in the next 30-40 minutes: • A deeper look at the geometry of the six Pattern Block pieces (see handout): • Keep a personal record only—no need for chart paper • Materials: text, online info, protractor, ruler, pattern blocks • Intention: To support your content knowledge development
P/J Math Problem Solving:Patterning and Geometry Context—Analysis--2 • Pattern Block Families Group Activity Analysis -2 • Consider a series of questions regarding the problem itself and group responses to it. (see handout) • Record key points of your discussion but no need to put on chart paper.
