  2. What does my animal look like? • It is brown/black and gray. It’s beak is hooked. They have feathers going up their head looking like ears.

  3. What does my animal eat? The screech owl is a carnivore that eats: meat such as: snails ,chipmunks , spiders , earthworms, rats and mice.

  4. Its prey • The screech owls prey on cats, larger owls, jays ,eagles and other larger birds. Some times bigger owls attack smaller owls.

  5. Where does it live? The screech owl lives near lakes, rivers, and forests. Some times they live in trees. It needs to live near food.

  6. Here are some interesting facts • Thereare 150 different kind of owls.22 different kind of owls live in America. Young owls have more prey. If we protect owls we will have them for many more years to come.
