Status • Heppenheim (October 2007) Progress: • Discussed SecWG Security Architecture – restructured – BSNC will revise • Discussed encryption and authentication documents and decided to go Magenta • Entertaining proposals to replace HMAC with cipher-based MAC in authentication document pending ESA study • Changed names of ‘trade study’ docs to ‘trade survey’ and will publish as green books • Key Management broken into 2 docs – Green and Magenta – provide comments • Mission Planners Security Guide 1st draft discussed • Agreed to study the use of the Common Criteria for mission security profiles • Current Progress: • Held interim telecon Jan 25, 2008 • Final WG comments on encryption docs and authentication survey before submitting docs to secretariat • Revised version of Security Architecture distributed for WG comments • Revision of Mission Planners Guide to be distributed to WG before March mtg. • Finalized wording changes to the “Security Green Book” regarding “implicit authentication” (ESA objections)
