A few Recommendations for an Integrated Support of the Greek Research Environment • Reform National Research Funding System (involve stakeholders) • Meritocracy and accountability – follow international standards • Integrated design based on excellence and first-rate scientists • Foster creative research careers of outstanding young researchers • Develop large infrastructures / projects needed for innovation • Invest more on Research Institutes (rather than Universities) • Incubate technology transfer structures with free academic research
