Shopify Introduces Shopcodes To Make Mobile Shopping A More Exciting Everybody is aware of cryptic square barcodes that can be read by only computers as a link, a location, or any kind of information encoded into them. QR codes emerges as an very important aspect of mobile commerce, powered by Android and iPhone devices. And now with the new iOS 11 update, people will be able to scan them with the native camera application. To keep the sellers upto date, Shopify, therefore, announces Shopcodes: QR codes that consumers can scan to take them directly to a product in the Shopify store. Shopcodes can be generated with the new Shopcodes app, which can be downloaded for free in the Shopify App Store. How to use Shopcodes: Sellers can generate Shopcodes only within Shopify stores. These are exclusively for shopping purpose, unique and traceable, enabling to see where traffic and sales are coming from in the Shopify Analytics dashboard. Just need to install the free Shopcodes app, and Shopcodes can be created to take customers to a product page or directly to checkout when scanned. Discounts can also be attached to Shopcodes so that customers can scan to save it immediately.

After creating the shopcode, you can download a .PNG or .SVG file of the unique Shopcode to incorporate into marketing strategies like Shopcodes can be added to Product Packaging  Encourage existing customers to make repeat purchases by scanning Shopcodes to go directly to checkout on mobile with accelerated checkout options like Apple Pay and Shopify Pay.  Attaching special discount code to Shopcodes to reward customers for their loyalty.  Using Shopcodes at Events, Pop-Ups, and in Retail Store  Enabling mobile shopping anywhere offline without keeping inventory on hand.  Shopcodes can also be used to advertise offline, with packaging inserts, posters, and other offline marketing materials.  Inplace of manually typing in website’s URL on their mobile devices, buyers can be taken directly to the product in the Shopify store instantly.  Shopcodes introduced by Shopify will bring the ease of using QR codes in conducting e- commerce offline.
