What do roundworms eat? • bacteria • fungi • food found in soil • some eat blood from humans
How roundworms find their food • when animals eat them they have an easy trail to food • they search through the soil • look in the water
How roundworms protect themselves • if something eats a roundworm they will get a very bad disease. This could kill the predator.
Interesting facts • a roundworm can lay up to 200,000 eggs a day for at least 10 months • There are 12,000 species of roundworms • another name for roundworms are nematodes • roundworm eggs live in the soil • roundworms are parasites • can range from microscopic size to 3 feet long
