Listening-discussion task 1 • Discuss the video with your group. • The speaker said that 2 billion (2,000,000,000) people are studying English. What do you think about that? • - Do you think that ‘English mania’ has an overall positive or overall negative effect on the world? • -How has “English mania” affected you personally? • Is English ability an essential skill to succeed in life? • What would you think if suddenly the world had “Chinese mania”?
