Seventeen’s Take on Plaid in the Fall What We're Wearing at Seventeen ... Plaid Shirts! March 24, 2009 at 3:35PM by Marissa Grumer On a recent trip to Urban Outfitters I found myself surrounded by plaid shirts in a million colors and patterns. On market appointments, racks are filled with them, and on the fall 2009 runways, like at Marc by Marc Jacobs, plaid was the highlight of the show. Most of all, I've noticed that a plaid shirt is the new go-to item when one wants to look casual but cute in the Seventeen office. It seems like the whole world is MAD for PLAID! If you already own a few plaid shirts don't get rid of them — they are huge for fall 2009! I love that they're cute but not over-the-top trendy, so anyone can wear them. Plus they come in so many colors and styles, like with ruffles and waist ties for a feminine touch, oversize boyfriend shirts, sweet and preppy — the styles are truly endless.
