  2. What Is Genital Herpes? What Is It caused By and How Is It Spread? • Genital herpes is an STI. • Genital herpes are blisters in the genital areas. It is caused by two different viruses, HSV1 and HSV2. The more common cause of herpes is HSV2. • HSV1 is more commonly spread by kissing, and also by oral sex. HSV2 is commonly spread by vaginal sex, and anal sex.

  3. Symptoms • Symptoms being with tenderness, and itchiness in the genital area. Blisters/ bumps appear on the vagina, penis, scrotum, anus, thigh, or buttock. The blisters open and become painful, sores. They can last for three weeks.

  4. How Can People Test For Genital Herpes? • The test is the PCR blood test. This test helps you know if you have herpes even if there are no symptoms. This test looks for The PNA of the virus. The PCR blood test is used the most. It's very accurate.

  5. What Is The Treatment For Genital Herpes? There is no cure for genital herpes. But, there is medicines that can help with outbreaks. One type of medicine can be taken everyday. Plus, it helps not spread it to your partner/partners.

  6. How To Prevention For Genital Herpes. - Not having sex - Being in a long term relationship with someone, that has been tested for STIs. - Using latex condoms and dental dams, the right way.

  7. Fact! HSV2 dose not survive on a non living surface, so there is no danger on a toilet seat, hot tube, etc.
