Function/Description • The National Environmental Policy Act was created so that environmental factors are weighted equally when compared to other factors in decisions by the Federal Government. • This act also established the CEQ (Council on Environmental Quality) to advise the president on annual environmental quality reports.
Environmental Issues/Regulating Agency • The CEQ controls the legislature dealing with this bill. • This bill deals with the Government not equally weighing in the environment in their decisions. The makers of this bill were worried that the environment would take a toll if the Government didn’t consider this bill.
