Tomasz STYPKA COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE KRAKOW AND STOCKHOLM MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Cracow University of Technology, Institute of Heat Engineering and Air Protection
Comparison of the present and planned Krakow and present Stockholm MSW systems
Conclusions: • There is a permanent need for reliable data, • ISWM model is transparent, but contrary to the first belief, requires experienced user, • Economic cost of the waste disposal is a few times higher than the enviromental load, • Creating complex system of waste disposal increases the cost two times,
conclusions: • Waste collection is the most significant element of the waste system both, from the economical and environmental points of view, • The ISWM model gives full picture of the problem if the method of the multicriteria analysis is applied.
