Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessedHe’ll prepare for us a place.
When we all, get to heaven,What a day of rejoicing that will be!When we all, see Jesus,We’ll sing and shout the victory!
While we walk the pilgrim pathwayClouds will overspread the sky;But when trav’ling days are over,Not a shadow not a sigh.
When we all, get to heaven,What a day of rejoicing that will be!When we all, see Jesus,We’ll sing and shout the victory!
Let us then be true and faithful,Trusting, serving every day;Just one glimpse of Him in gloryWill the toils of life repay.
When we all, get to heaven,What a day of rejoicing that will be!When we all, see Jesus,We’ll sing and shout the victory!
Onward to the prize before us!Soon His beauty we’ll behold;Soon the pearly gates will open,We shall tread the streets of gold!
When we all, get to heaven,What a day of rejoicing that will be!When we all, see Jesus,We’ll sing and shout the victory!
( THE CALL TO WORSHIP (from Psalm 36:5,7,9)
Minister:Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens,
People:and You give us drink from the river of Your delights.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth,
And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church.
He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent.
For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things,
whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross.
Lord, high and holy, meek and lowly,You have brought us to the valley of vision, where we live in the depths but see You in the heights.
Hemmed in by mountains of sin we behold Your glory. Let us learn by paradox that the way down is the way up,
that to be low is to be high, that the broken heart is the healed heart, that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
that the repenting soul is the victorious soul, that to have nothing is to possess all,
that to bear the cross is to wear the crown, that to give is to receive, that the valley is the place of vision.
Let us find Your light in our darkness, Your life in our death,Your joy in our sorrow,Your grace in our sin,
Your riches in our poverty,Your glory in our valley, through the grace of the resurrected Christ.
SILENT PRAYERS OF THANKSGIVING AND CONFESSION
Minister:You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing Your praise and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever!
I’ve got peace like a river,I’ve got peace like a river,I’ve got peace like a river in my soul
I’ve got peace like a river,I’ve got peace like a river,I’ve got peace like a river in my soul
