  1. Zoe CotterillTo create a handout/booklet of a guide to Hull To include: • Map of hull including hand drawn landmarks • Best places to visit • Interesting facts and information about the city • Photographs of Hull • Mainly aimed at tourists visiting the city, but also people who live in and nearby Hull.

  2. An existing city guide of Sheffield which inspired my interest in editorial design and the idea to create a guide to Hull.

  3. I will include a map of Hull, including the most recognisable landmarks, which I will hand draw and digitally edit. I have looked at existing map and city guide design ideas below:

  4. Artist reference- Caroline Johnson Illustrative drawings of architecture and urban landscapes. I will initially draw landmarks of hull in a sketchy way using black ink, which I will edit digitally and add colours similar to those that will be used throughout the booklet.

  5. Artist reference- Yoni Alter Digital landscapes of buildings and landmarks specific to a city. I like the simplicity of these images and I may use similar colours in my work.
