  2. Purpose • To create a master list of primary care clinics • To assess the number of providers and clinics in Kansas offering immunizations • To develop a complete picture of the immunization delivery network in Kansas

Methods Master Board of Healing Arts List (BOHA) 7162 Physicians Sorted BOHA List Including GP, PD, FP, and Physicians with Unknown Specialties 1562 Physicians + Physicians Added to Sorted BOHA List from Master BOHA List 154 Physicians = Total Number of Physicians Reviewed for Database 1716 Physicians

Methods and Tools • The manual search utilized the following sources: • Blue Cross Blue Shield Online Provider Directory • Kansas Medical Society Printed Directory • County-Specific Medical Society Websites (if available) • American Medical Association Provider Directory • Kansas Hospital Association Website • KDHE Website • AT&T AnyWho Reverse Telephone Number Lookup • Google

  5. Research Efforts • Time Spent Creating Database: • 370 Research Hours • Equivalent to 46 person days • Equivalent to 9.2 business weeks • This project was completed with a 2 person team from KHI • Sunee Mickle • Laura Harrington

  6. Current Findings • Approximate Number of Clinics: 646 • Number of Physicians Linked to a Clinic: 1641 • Number of Physicians Removed from Sorted Database: 85 • Number of Physicians Who Need Follow Up: 75

  7. Next Steps • Send A Short Questionnaire to the following: • 646 Clinic Office Managers • 75 Individual Unlinked Physicians • Finalize Physician-Clinic Database
