  2. pDBThe database for the rest of us! • Ability to access my data any time, any where, using any device connected to the Internet • Selective sharing of different portions of my data with those who I designate • Automatic augmentation of my data with data available on the internet, based on my preferences • Uniform treatment of different types of data and my annotations • Approximate querying and ranked results • Ability to join my data with public databases

  3. iDBInternet is the database! • Everyone has data that can be valuable for someone else! • Logical extension of the static web? • How to organize and use is this world-wide database? • How to find ? How to trust what we find? • How to resolve inconsistencies? • How to incorporate personal biases in the search process? • Founded on the tradition of gift-giving or greed? • Is this what semantic web ought to be?
