Approaching God in Worship • NT: Singing, Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16 • Does the word of Christ approve adding musical instruments to singing? • If so, we must use them • If not, we do not have the right to add them! (Matt. 21:23)
Principles of Acceptable Worship • Approved worship is regulated by the will of God, Matt. 15:7-9 • God alone has the right to decide the elements of acceptable worship • Ex. Proper fire,Lev. 10:1-2 • Ex. Proper priests,Num. 3:10 • Sinful to change, 1 Kgs. 12:28-33

When We Violate God’s Authority and Disregard its Restraints… • We sin and forfeit fellowship with God, Matt. 15:7-9; 2 Jno. 9 • We open the floodgate to error and apostasy, 2 Tim. 2:16-17
Let Us Offer God Musical Praise that Pleases Him! Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.(Hebrews 13:15)
