Stress Response: (Alarm-Resistance-Fatigue) • Alarm: Body goes on high alert. • Fight or Flight • YouTube - Adrenaline: Fight or Flight Response • Adrenaline is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands, it is also called Epinephrine. The Adrenal Glands are located above each kidney. Adrenaline helps the body to adjust to sudden stress

  3. Stress Response: • When a person becomes angry or frightened, the adrenal glands release adrenaline into the blood. The hormone causes changes in the body to make it more efficient for "fight or flight". • Adrenaline increases the strength and rate of the heartbeat and raises the blood pressure. It also speeds up the conversion of glycogen into glucose, which provide energy to the muscles.

  4. Stress Response: • One of a good example is ; When there is fire, a person can suddenly carry a heavy stuff that he/she cannot usually carry in normal condition. It is the adrenalin hormone that is responsible in that sudden strength. • Resistance: You perform at a higher level and with more endurance for a brief period of time • Fatigue: If exposure continues your body loses its ability to adapt.
