  1. The Gospel writer Luke wants to awaken us to the wonders of Christ’s coming. He fills the story with the sounds of singers singing their songs of joy and wonder at the new day dawning before their very eyes. But these songs are not tame or quaint. They’re more like the ringing of the alarm clock shattering the early morning silence or the burst of energy when a race begins. Luke aims to have us listen to these songs, not to just marvel at what God did long ago in a manger, but to have us sense the energy of heaven that God unleashed on earth when He came… Join us this Advent season for our series: I Will Sing of My Redeemer. December 1: Pastor Lambert begins our Advent series with Mary’s Song from Luke 1:39-56 entitled “God is My Redeemer” December 8: Pastor Justin continues our Advent series with Zechariah’s Song from Luke 1:67-75 entitled “Jesus – The Horn of Salvation” December 15: Pastor Lambert’s sermon this week, “The Rising Sunshine” is based on Zachariah’s John Song from Luke 1:76-80. December 22: On this 4th Sunday of Advent, Pastor Justin will share the message “Light to the Gentiles”, based on Simeon’s Song from Luke 2:25-33. Christmas Day: Pastor Lambert brings us the message, “Peace on Earth”, based on the Angels’ and Shepherds’ Song from Luke 2:1-20.
