Percents are always written with a percent sign (%) In a decimal, 1 represents the whole amount, any value less than 1 is less than the whole, and any value greater than 1 is greater than the whole. In a percent, 100% represents the whole amount, any value less than 100 is less than the whole, and any value greater than 100 is more than the whole.
Since decimals are compared to 1, and percents are compared to 100, when you convert a decimal to percent, the number must become 100 times greater. So… DP move decimal point right 2 places…
