Airport “Zrenjanin” • Airport Zrenjanin Complex covers land area of 300 hectares • The airport is the biggest ”C” class airport in the Balkan region • Built in 1941. • Small passenger air traffic and cargo planes with load capacity of less than 7 tons • Airport Complex is managed by the City of Zrenjanin • Detailed Regulation Plan is prepared for 300 hectares

  13. Air traffic noise The analysis of the noise and its effects on the surrounding has been completed by the Institute of the Traffic Faculty in Belgrade and it was concluded that none of the Airport activities threaten any of the existing communities.

  14. Geotechnical soil testing Geotechnical testing was done by the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade. The soil type is actually the same throughout the entire Airport location and the following geotechnical profile can be accepted in principle: 0 to 0.4m humus 0.4 to 1.1m dust sand dark color clay 1.1 to 2.1m dust sand yellow color clay 2.1 to 4.2m dust sand yellow grey clay, rich in CaCO3 4.2 to 5m dust sand yellow clay Underground water has not been encountered to the above mentioned depth of testing.
