  2. What are the major causes of a Carbon Footprint? • Gas powered vehicles. • Incandescent light bulbs. • Lack of reducing, reusing, and recycling. • Not conserving electricity, heat, and water.

  4. Switching from gas powered vehicle to hybrid or electric powered vehiclewould dramatically reduce carbon dioxide emissions. • Switching to a hybrid vehicles would drop car emissions by 20 to 90%.

Switch your incandescent light bulbs to compact florescent light bulbs. • Turn down the thermostat when you leave the house. • Unplug electronics like the television or microwave when they are not in use. • Turn off lights when they are not needed. • Use only as much water as needed and make sure the faucets are off completely and are not dripping.
