  2. Homework Next Week • Read and answer questions about Morning Messages pages 31-49 • Make sure you have picked an extensive reading book by next week. • I will ask you the title and find out why you chose it.

  3. Reading and Writing DiscussionPage 7 • In groups, discuss the worksheet for chapter 6 (pages 8-28) in Teaching English to Children in Asia • Go through each questions, but spend only about 3 minutes on any one questions • You will have 20 minutes to review and discuss the worksheet

As I mentioned I will ask each of you what your title is next week and why you chose it. • By the end of the semester you need to have read 700 pages • As we move through the semester in weeks 4, 8 and 14 I will be checking one sentence summaries

  10. One Sentence SummariesPage 51 • In week 5, 9 and 13 you will need to submit • A good summary describes the people, the problem or conflict and the events associated with the resolution of the problem or conflict

  11. One Sentence Summaries • Examples of one sentence summaries can be found on page 51 of the course book. • Look at the five summaries that Su Jin did. • In each summary try to identify • The characters • The problem or conflict • Events associated with the eventual resolution
