What does Audio Technology involve? • Emphasis on the science, technology and engineering that features in audio equipment and software used in a broad range of areas e.g. • Music Production and Studios • Acoustics • Broadcasting • Computer Games • Cinema • Everyday life – computers, iPod, iPads, TVs etc.

Programme Info • BSc(Hons) Audio Technology with Electronics • An engineering view of audio technology • Includes some audio production • Focuses on Signal processing, Acoustics • Entry qualifications • Four H Grades at BBBB or equivalent including Mathematics at B • HND (GU 2 at A/B ) + various

  6. Programme Info • BSc(Hons) Audio Technology with Multimedia • Building on HND (usually Sound Production) • 2 year programme • Less mathematical/engineering focus • Includes where audio might be used, e.g web, video • Entry qualifications • Entry qualifications • HND (GU 2 at A/B )

  7. Semester Abroad / Placements • Agreements in place/under discussion • Finland – Helsinki, Lahti • Denmark – Aalborg, Copenhagen • Germany - Hamburg • Funded under ERASMUS scheme • Placements this year with: • BBC • Celtic Music Radio • Mediaspec • La Chunky Studios
